Tailored e-commerce platform for YOONIT Bikes

We delivered a B2B/B2C shop, product configurator, and dealer locator for YOONIT Bikes, helping automate order tracking, stock, and user management through their ERP system.

Objective

YOONIT originally sold bikes and accessories through a dealer network. The goal was to introduce a direct-to-consumer shop while keeping the dealer sales model. The new website needed to allow customers to configure and buy bikes online while giving dealers an easy way to place orders at special pricing.

The project also involved integrating the shop with WeClapp, the company’s existing business management system, to sync products, stock, and pricing. YOONIT wanted a simple and reliable system that would work smoothly for dealers and direct customers. The website also needed a dealer map so customers could easily find local stores that sold YOONIT bikes.

Challenges

Switching from a basic WIX website to a fully functional online shop required solving several issues. The first challenge was making sure B2B and B2C customers saw the right prices and product details. The multilingual setup also needed to work correctly, as some product details were not syncing in English.

We also needed to ensure that the custom bike configurator showed accurate pricing and real-time previews based on customer selections. Managing content efficiently was another key concern since the site needed to support different case studies, landing pages, and structured product details.

Our approach

Research

The first step was to analyze YOONIT’s business processes to ensure the new system fit their needs. Instead of forcing a one-size-fits-all solution, we designed a custom WooCommerce shop that worked seamlessly with WeClapp.

Building the e-commerce platform

We structured the site to handle both B2B and B2C sales. Customers could sign up and buy directly, while dealers had access to a separate system with their own pricing and ordering options. The shop layout was designed to be simple and easy to use, whether viewed on desktop or mobile.

WeClapp integration for product, order and pricing sync

We set up WeClapp as the central system for managing products, ensuring that all updates - pricing, stock levels, and product details - were automatically reflected in WooCommerce. Instead of relying on manual updates, the new system synced everything in real-time, reducing the chance of errors. To support international customers, we configured a multilingual setup that ensured product details appeared correctly in different languages.

Custom product configurator

YOONIT wanted customers to customize their bikes easily without having to go back and forth between pages. We developed a step-by-step configurator where customers could select bike colors, accessories, and other options while seeing a live preview of their selections. The final step allowed them to place an order or receive a detailed PDF summary of their configured bike.

Interactive dealer map

To balance online and dealer sales, we developed an interactive dealer map. Customers could search for dealers by location or bike model and see results instantly. Each dealer’s details, including website and contact information, were available directly on the map.

Making content management easier

Since the website needed frequent updates, we built custom content blocks in WordPress. These blocks allowed YOONIT to add new pages, case studies, and product details quickly without relying on external plugins. This setup made content updates simpler while keeping the site’s design consistent.

Testing, launch, and ongoing maintenance

Before launch, we tested every part of the system to ensure all features worked smoothly. We checked that WeClapp syncs were accurate, that the product configurator functioned correctly, and that B2B and B2C customers saw the correct prices. We also tested the dealer map and multilingual setup to ensure a seamless experience. Once the platform was ready, we coordinated a smooth launch and ensured all components were fully functional from day one. Our involvement didn’t stop there - we continue to provide ongoing maintenance, optimizing performance, resolving issues, and making updates as needed to keep the platform running efficiently.

Results

YOONIT now has a fully functional online shop that works for both direct customers and dealers. The WeClapp integration ensures product information is always accurate without manual updates. The bike configurator makes purchasing easier, and the dealer map helps customers find local stores.

With a structured content system in place, YOONIT can manage and update the website efficiently without breaking the design or needing extra development work. The entire setup is built for future growth, allowing new features to be added without disrupting the current system.
